Handbooks
The CAP and aCAP handbooks are designed to provide you with everything you need to know about the respective programs from start to finish. Topics covered include applying for the exam, preparing for the exam (including sample questions), taking the exam, certification renewal, and more.
Study Guide
A committee of CAP subject-matter experts developed a study guide to help candidates prepare for the exam. The study guide, which focuses on information related to the seven domains of analytics outlined in the Job Task Analysis (JTA), is available below.
Job Task Analysis
The Job Task Analysis (JTA) was created to define the knowledge, skills, and abilities that must be demonstrated by analytics professionals to effectively transform data into insights. The CAP exam is based on the JTA and tests an individual’s fluency with the seven areas of responsibility (business problem framing, analytics problem framing, data, methodology selection, model building, deployment, and lifecycle management) outlined therein.
